SSI Advanced Adventurer / PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

Price range: £320.00 through £585.00

Exploration. Confidence. Adventure.
That’s what the SSI Advanced Adventurer / PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. This programme is designed to help divers grow in skill, comfort, and confidence while exploring new underwater environments.

The SSI Advanced Adventurer / PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course allows you to experience a variety of specialty dives — from deep diving and navigation to buoyancy control, marine ecology, wreck dive and more — all under the guidance of a qualified instructor.

It’s the perfect next step after Open Water Diver, giving you the chance to log more dives, broaden your knowledge, and become more versatile and confident underwater across a range of diving conditions.

Mission Statement

Whether you’re training through PADI or SSI, the Advanced Open Water Diver (PADI) or Advanced Adventurer(SSI) course is all about building your skills, boosting your confidence, and expanding your diving experiences.

You don’t need to be “advanced” to begin — this course is designed to advance your diving. It’s a natural next step after earning your Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to continue learning while having fun under the guidance of an instructor.

Both courses introduce you to a variety of specialty dive experiences. You’ll complete five Adventure Dives, including Underwater Navigation and a Deeper Dive (typically to 18–30 metres), plus three additional dives based on your interests — such as buoyancy control, marine ecology, wreck diving, or full face mask diving.

Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course can also count toward the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. Similarly, SSI’s Advanced Adventurer gives you a taste of multiple specialties, helping you decide what you’d like to pursue further.

It’s all about gaining experience, discovering new underwater adventures, and becoming a more confident diver — ready to dive deeper, farther, and more often.

To complete your SSI Advanced Adverer or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course you will hone your skills by completing five adventure dives as well as developing skills and knowledge in a variety of ancillary modules. You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives.
